The Birdcage is a project of Merve Kocadayı, formed in İzmir, Turkey in 2008. Her music is frequently experimental in style, many of her songs consisting merely of vocals accompanied by either keyboard or guitar, which she plays herself.

Everybody was remembering to forget they had the chills’ is a selection of songs from the seven albums she self-released between 2008-2015.
